One of the biggest expenses on vacation can be keeping everyone’s tummy happy. Unfortunately, dining out for three meals a day – plus snacks- adds up fast! Renee from the Living Laughing & Loving blog is here to help. She recently wrote about the value of packing food from home to eat on vacation.
When is it a good idea to pack food from home for vacations?
1. On a roadtrip – don’t get caught in the routine of eating fast food for a week straight!
2. When camping – don’t count on the park’s restaurant for dining (if there is one)- they can be pricey.
3. If you rented a condo or hotel with kitchenette – start a meal in the slow cooker before you leave for daily activities and come “home” to a homemade meal.

Ooohh I like the idea of slow cooking for the day! Have you tried it before? If so what have you made?? Such a great idea cos usually when I get home I’m so unwilling to cook haha
I love my slow cooker; I use it all the time! Here is a super easy meal for a crowd (or if you want leftovers for a couple days if it’s just the two of you). Take a turkey breast and cut off the skin. Rub all over with dry onion soup mix. Cook on low about 6 hours or so. Done!
