I recently came across this great post by another WordPress blogger, The Vagabonds. They shared their love of a train travel-based board game called “Ticket to Ride” in which players build cross-country travel itineraries by connecting destinations through the trading and matching of cards.
Why am I writing about a board game? Because the first step in traveling is planning – fantasizing, dreaming, and scheming about how to arrive at your destination. I always say that if you can dream up a trip, you can make it happen. Pick up this game! I promise you’ll be inspired to begin planning a cross-country train trip, just like The Vagabonds.

Agree wholeheartedly! If you plan on the key things like where you are going and how you are going to get there it gives you so much more time to be spontaneous on your trip! Maybe counter intuitive but it’s true
